The Royal Alcazar of Seville trust again the MuseumMate Audio Guides. The "Real Alcázar" is a walled palatial complex built in different historical stages. Although the original palace was built in the High Middle Ages, some vestiges of Islamic art are preserved. After the Castilian conquest, it is a Mudejar palatial space and another in the Gothic style.

It is the residence of the members of the Spanish Royal Family when they visit Seville. This makes it the oldest royal palace in use in Europe. Unesco declared it a World Heritage Site in 1987.

In 2019, it received 2.067.016 visitors, making it one of the most visited monuments in Spain.

Audio guide service renewal.

Last February the Board of Trustees of the Royal Alcazar of Seville renewed its Audio Guide Service. Through a public tender, MuseumMate was the company selected to provide the Audio Guide Service by presenting the best offer.

With this renovation MuseumMate will provide an innovative Audio Guide Service thanks to its Guidoo Video. An Audioguide that allows the diffusion of this impressive Palace through audio content, images and videos.

MuseumMate has guaranteed job stability for up to a total of 12 people. A proposal that has earned the Institution's confidence in the operational management of the Service.

The visitors.

The Real Alcázar de Sevilla closed the 2018 financial year with a record of visitors after receiving 1.875.744 people, 4,07 percent (178.110) more than the previous year.

The months with the highest influx to the palatial enclosure have coincided with those most relevant for tourism in the Seville capital, which are May (207.918 visitors), April (199.886) and October (180.418). However, the main growths emerged in traditionally low-season months such as February, where it has risen 19,72 percent compared to the same month in 2017, January (9,7%) and December (7,70%).
