MONASTERY OF SAN LORENZO DE EL ESCORIAL

Challenge

After the success of the Audioguide Service in the Royal Palace of Madrid, National Heritage addresses the installation in the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

The complexity of the space available in the area of reception of visitors as well as the tour of the different rooms and spaces of the Monastery is an important handicap to overcome.

Museummate solution

A counter was designed according to the environment of the Ticket Office room, where the personnel and devices supplied were located, as well as the operation of delivery and collection of devices.

Through an Audioguide return module, equipped with an alarm system and located at the exit door, at the opposite end of the Ticket Office, visitors could comfortably return the Audioguide after completing the visit to the Monastery.

To facilitate the journey, the Audioguide is accompanied by a map with the recommended route, as well as the points with information.

Result

After the implementation, the Service operated in an optimal way, facilitating the tour of the visitors inside the enclosure, without affecting the daily operations of the same.

Subsequently and after the success in this new National Heritage site, the installation was carried out in other Palaces and Royal Sites.
